Lego

Today I decided to do the lego challenge. For day 6 I had to make a Rocket Ship to get back home because I was stuck on Mars. The hardest part was finding all of the pieces I needed like sections for the walls. The name of my Rocket was Supernova because I put a lot of effort into making this Supernova Ship. 

Emoji Code Breaking

Today I did my Emoji Code Breaking. I found the Subtraction a bit hard at first but then I got the hang of it. I think it was really fun and challenging. I was an amazing Maths end to Term 1!!! This is my Maths. ↡

Self Isolation Diary

Dear Diary,

Tomorrow I am wanting to try to get up to 54 tasks on my individual program on Studyladder and get more of my Freedom Writing done about my Orca facts. I need to make sure I  write down some of the knowledge about Orcas that I already know too, so I don’t have just all of the new facts on there. If I put on all of the new facts and not the facts I already knew, then I am not making it a Supernova, by adding everything in. 

What I enjoyed today was doing the Emoji code maths.  It got really tricky on the subtraction and I was so short of my maths memory. I thought that 94 - 87 = 13 or 17 but I was wrong for both of them… it was 7. So I thought to myself I need to do some more maths practise, so I did a few more minutes of Studyladder. 

I am really excited for the holidays but the bad thing about them is that I can’t go see my Aunty Gina up in Auckland this holidays - I was looking forwards to it so much!!! 

The book I am reading at night right now, Pepe, The Beach Stallion. It is also by my fav author, Kelly Wilson. I LOVE all of her books especially the first one, Dandy, The Mountain Pony. These are all the books I have that she has written, 1 - Dandy, The Mountain Pony and it has got a really good message-Always to follow your dreams and never lose hope & when stuff gets tough, face it and don’t let it push you down. 2 - Cameo, The Street Pony, 3 - Casper, The Spirited Arabian, 4 - Chessy, The Welsh Pony,  Koolio, The Problem Pony. My favourite part of the books is the How-tos at the end of each book. That is part of how I know so much about horses already.

My Travel Brochure

This week I have been working on my learning while I am in Isolation and I call it home school. I made a Travel Brochure about travelling on an animal that was an on lander or off lander. For my animal, I chose something that I really like... an Alpaca. For my photo, I asked Mum to text Aunty Michele to send me a picture of Churro, Camino, Benecio, Elvarez and my fav Taco!! I called my flight Alpaca Air and the prices are really cheap so you are not paying a fortune just to get to one place. This is my activity.

Research centre Kahoot!

This week for Chapter Challenge I made a Kahoot about Niagara Falls with seventeen questions related to it. First I planned it on my freedom writing and then I created a Kahoot and put all the questions on it. Olivia inspired me to make a Kahoot for research centre. This is my Kahoot!

Chapter Challenge week 7

This week for chapter challenge I did an acrostic poem about the story so far. I am doing A way with words (AWWW). In the book, the ants basically loved the sugar because before Becket left the ants were taking the sugar grain by grain. Here is my activity.

Chapter Challenge week 6

This week I made a little booklet about bear facts. I made a slide about Black Bear facts and I had a colour for the background but I couldn't print it in that colour so Miss Mac made a copy of it and changed it back to white and printed it. I have an image of the printed one and the link to the slide.
